The Best way is to place an ad in the local paper for what you are looking for. That's seems to work the best for everyone I have talked to. $4000 is outragous for a 140 beleive it or not. Farmall cubs sell for more than 140's and they top out at $2500. The simple fact that the smaller the tractor the greater the price. I constantantly see 140's in the Virginia / North Carolina area for 1500 without equipment to 2500 with equipment, but it's your money to waste. The people on that web site tend to be people who make a living selling used farm equipment. I have met a couple of them while looking for tractor parts. They tend to get 75 to 100% profit in what they sell.
