you might try another condenser, and check the resistance (in ohms) of the primary and secondary coil windings. if you don't know the value of the windings, about all you can do is compare it with one you know is good.
i do a lot of work on E-4 and F-4 mags, but have no experience with american bosch.
maybe this will help a little bit!
