I had one for longer than I want to remember. They were a good idea poorly executed. For instance, they had aliminum bodied hyd (2 of them) pumps in them. When they went, and they did, it didn't matter if a o-ring went in the pump, it was all replaced. You also had your system full of filings. Engine was good. It was also hard to steer. My shoulder still hurts just thinking about it. They also had a TA that would go out, I guess that there was a bearing that would puke and that would cause the TA to die. People (us included) tended to abuse the tractor so maybe some of the bad reputation wasn't all deserved. I think that this tractor is one reason that the front wheel drive became so popular. Everyone saw what a small 4x4 could do. They did have alot of the same parts of a 14-1586.... rear ends, motor, transmission, TA, cab etc. I guess that 1086 aren't worth that much any more either.
