I just purchased a IHC 200 for the purpose of using the fast hitch. It sits along side a JD 420 with a 3 pt and its interesting to compare the merits of both. I seen a demonstration of the fast hitch at the Wis state fair in the 50s and it was the best marketing show I ever seen. It was done with 4 Super Cs doing the hitching and unhitching to square dance music.

Its too bad the fast hitch did not become the standard but it was probably due to some big egos and politics with the major mfg.

Maybe someone from that era can shed some light on what happened
