Mike, The bearing assembly with five bolts does not come off. You have to dig the old seal out being careful not to damage the seal surface on the axle. I recommend replacing the one seal with two seals back to back because the old seal may have worn a grove in the axle from many years of service. The second seal you install may find virgin surface and prevent oil leakage. If this doesn't work, there is a thin sleeve available that installs on the axle providing a new surface for the seal to wear. Tom
