Glenn: This is an original harness, and that wire was there from factory. On my tractor there is about 6" behind dash and about 18" from where it comes out of harness under water pump. Last evening in discussion on this with Mitch, his 1962 - 140 has the same wire, except his wire followed tail light wires to seat area. Neither tractor had this wire connected to anything at either end. One would think a wire that heavy may be to operate an electric clutch, electro magnet, extra heavy lights, etc. I wondered was there ever a liquid fertilizer side dresser. This wire will not affect anything I am going to do with tractor. I am just curious as to the intended use.
