There is probably nothing wrong, it all sounds quite normal for a Farmall with thermosyphon cooling. No thermostat or water pump, works on the principle that hot water rises and as it cools in rad flows back through top outlet down into block. When shutting this tractor down you should let idle for couple min, cools it out a bit. After it is shut off it will sound like your tea kettle for a minute or so. Most of them have been working that way for 50 years or more no parts required. You try and buy something like that today. Most of the guys that bought them new are dead.
