I didn't mention this in my earlier post as I felt reasonably sure would raise the issue. I am not even sure that I am right. I was 10 years old when my dad had a new Cub delivered. A sickle mower was delivered on another day. The dealer assembled mower as they installed it on tractor. I watched this procedure quite closely. I believe I remember the pitman wheel being threaded onto shaft going to rear of tractor. If that is the case, you would not be able to turn it other way on a A or SA. Wouldn't hurt to check that out.
