Blain, since you have expressed even an awareness of this old treasure of your granddad's, believe me, you will regret it twenty years from now if you let this tractor get away from you now. The cost to restore is relatively cheap, when you consider other things you could be blowing your money on and the wonderful therapy it provides working on it. Besides, you have something to show for it that you and your family can be proud of for years to come. And don't be afraid of not knowing how to do something -- this discussion board is like having a room full of Farmall Engineers/Master Mechanics right at your disposal! I bet you not one of these people who has done a restoration on an old tractor will tell you they regret having gone through it. I'm almost through with my dad's Super C, and I've had the time of my life working on it. Good luck!
