The oil in the TA is the same as that in the transmission. Check it with the dip stick on the operators platform. The red cabs with black stripe were made in 1976, the other red cabs were 74 and 75 (I think), and the white cabs were the earliest. To slide the wheels, you need to loosen the bolt on the center of the hub near the axle to release the wedges that hold the hub tight to the axle. Do this with the wedge down to keep the weight off the wedge. You also need to jack the tractor up on the side you are working on. The wedges tighten from both the outside and inside of the hub, so a special tool is made to help force off one side of the wedge after the first loosens. If you give me your serial #, I can tell you what year your tractor was made. Please e-mail me if you have any questions. Good luck!
