I've just got an IH 484 which I'm getting sorted gradually. One thing I've noticed is that the gearbox oil waring light comes on at low (<1000) revs but only AFTER the PTO has been running for some time. I.e. I do 30 mins mowing using the PTO, when I switch the PTO off the warning light comes on.......if I turn the PTO back on the warning light goes off. Gearbox/hydraulic oil level seems OK. Any thoughts what might be causing this? Secondly, there's a pull switch (red) in the top right hand corner of the dashboard - any idea what this is for?
