Bob; I agree with you to a point, yes once you cut the power there is no more electronic ignition. However if you run your tractors as I do, just a hair more than recomended advance. They will run hotter and thus the dieselling. All the more reason to let them idle and cool down a bit. My dad used to say a gas Farmall was working great when stack turned a red glow at night while working hard.
