If I need parts, I go to my local Case/IH dealer first -- Except a couple of weeks ago I went brain dead (not the 1st time) and put a rear axle seal in backwards on my Super H, of course I destroyed it taking it out. Local dealer has overnight service, didn't want to wait, so I went to a bearing/seal place. Paid $8.52, including tax, etc. Looked to see what Case/IH charged me -- $13.88, for the same seal (National). I would like to help keep local dealer in business (lousy farm economy), but think I will buy my seals from the bearing place. I am still amazed at how many parts Case/IH still has for 50-60 year old tractors.
