Unless the person in your dealership has been around a long time, typically he won't know much about the letter series, he just thinks he does. There's no serial number break, even the Super H's were available with a mag. Distributers were more common on the later ones, say 1950 up, my dad had a 1947 with a mag. Yours is most likely original.
