Is the serial # in the same place on a 39 Farmall B as it is on later B's? The previous owner told me this tractor was a 39 model. There's no serial tag on the seat bracket and no holes where the rivets should be to hold the tag on. It also has a different steering wheel than all my other B's and there are raised casting #'s on the top side of the axle housings, which are not present on any of my other B's. Between me and my grandfather, we own 9 B's from 1940 on up. They all have the serial tag on the seat bracket and none have the raised numbers on the axle housings. I'd appreciate any info you guys can give me. Thanks in advance.
