Or, you could use the old standby- vice grips on the bolt and a crescent to turn the nut! Just kidding- the proper tools for the job will make it go much smoother. Reminds me of the old joke where a farmer was working on some peice of machinery, and asked his hired man to hand him a crescent wrench. The hired man asked if he wanted an 8" or a 12" crescent. The farmer replied "Don't matter, I'm gonna use it as a hammer"!
