Depends on your climate as to whether or when it will dry itself out. Watch the dew point on the news or local paper to see when the humidity drops.

If you're in a hurry, or it seems to always be there; one of those countertop warming ovens -- 90 degrees for an hour or two should take care of it. Nice dry climate in thsoe things, should take care of it (don't let your wife see you doing those kinds of things, though).

You could try to seal the gauge with hot melt glue or some sort of caulking to prevent moist air from entering. The downside is the goop my drip in the gauge works and gum things up.
