I replaced the sector shaft in my '51 Super A with a new one from IH. The only difference in the shaft was the woodruff key that hold the sector gear was bigger. I had to have the sector keyway broached wider. I think the orignal A had the square hole and it wasn't tapered, just clamped by the nut on the bottom. There are two sizes of tie rod ends (adjustable) The tube they slide in is a larger diameter and so is the notched shaft.
