I have a front-mounted belt pulley driven post hole digger on my '52 with a live pump. Long cylinder moves it up and down, hex shaft slides through the gears. Great machine, dug alot of holes for a new building. 3pt. should be alot safer than this thing. Only advantage to the old mounted one is everything is in front of you. Easier to keep an eye on and less strain on the neck. Disadvantage is the belt. It will slip. Be alert when using diggers and keep your guards in place. Good luck and be safe. AG
