Hi Bob, Thanks for all the good advise, you probably get tired of people asking questions. I was thinking to day about the M solenoid. The button I took off grounds to activate the solenoid. I tried that and it fired right up. With the ignitions switch on the tractor when I turn it to start it sends current to the solenoid. Will the 12 volt solenoid work with the ignition switch? I know that there are solenoids with 1 and 2 small posts, should I get the 1 or 2? When I started the tractor the warning light stayed on even at wide open. I read somewhere you could by pass the waring light and if everything else was right it would charge. We mine did, I'm thinking that maybe the alternator is not turning fast enough, it has a 3 inch pulley on it. If that is not it, it could possibly be the warning light. It is not the 1815 like recommended on the diagrams. It is a 12 volt light with a red lense built right in that clicks into a 1/2 inch hole. Thanks, Bob
