I don't think a Planet Jr. is the best thing to plant corn. They are more of a drill for small vegetable seeds where they just drill the seeds out in a line, they can't space out a corn seed say every 9-12 inches. The auger/agitator in them will tend to grind up the corn seed. If you want something to push by hand, look for an Earthway, they are cheap enough. You can plant big seeds like corn and pumpkins with a Planet Jr. by removing the seed plate altogether and let one person push it while someone else walks alongside and drops a seed in the hopper every foot or so, it will fall right thru. If you are using a tractor any decent used 2-row corn planter or Cole brand planter will do the job.
