I am putting my H back together too, and I got this out of an M owner's manual. It takes two people to do this. Put your finger over the #1 sparkplug hole and turn the engine until you feel pressure. Then continue to turn until you get to the first of the two marks. This is TDC for piston 1. Then set your valves and then turn the crank half way. This is where you need two people, one to look in the spark plug hole of piston 3 until it is TDC. There is no mark on the pulley for this one. Set your valves, then turn the motor another half turn, this time you will be on the first of the two marks again. Set the valves on #4 cylinder, and turn the motor a half a turn again, looking in spark plug hole #2 till this piston is at TDC and set the valves on this. As for the distributer timing, I have no clue. Hope this helps.
