The M did not come from the factory as LP but a whole bunch of them were changed over. If it is an Ensign system, repair reference would come from a Super M book. Ensign parts are hard to come by and I have been repairing mine by replacing the regulator with Impco. It is possible to use the Impco regulator with an Ensign carb. I don't know how old the carbs have to be before you have trouble with them.
