Carp, If you have ever removed the engine from your TD9 you can see the adapter plate that bolts to the engine block and then the adapter plate bolts to the clutch housing. So all it would take to change engines would be to built the adapter plate to fit your replacement engine the important factor would be making sure the crank shaft alienment was perfect. Other than that, width and length would be your only limiting factor.
