A cousin that had worked a long time in construction told me after I bought that V8 tractor that were two uses for V8s- race cars and concrete mixer trucks. He said the V8 would stay in a mixer truck where they ran high speed with very little load and the sixes would shake to pieces. Don't get me wrong, as I am a six cylinder fan but just wanted to point out that there was at least one of the Big Reds still running.
