If you are talking about electric gauges, a lot of times they will say not for use on diesels because of the terrific vibration the sender would endure, being mounted to the engine block. On Ford trucks with Cat diesels they got around this by mounting the sender on the firewall of the truck, and running a length of the appropriate rubber hose to the engine block. For a mechanical gauge, I can see no reason why there would be a problem. I don't think that engine would have unusually high oil pressure. If you would like to know the oil pressure spec, email me and I'll dig out the shop manual and look it up for you.
