I am in Massachusetts near the NH border and we are only expected to get about 12 inches. Not enough to qualify as a "thrashing". It will bring the totals on the ground to about 40-45 inches. Totals in this range occur every three to four years. Intensity of this storm is not expected until tonight. Weather map says that Nova Scotia won't get much. Most of the snow action is further south. Most of the storms this year have taken a southerly track. The best benefit of this storm will be the warmer air it will bring later this week.
