Put your steel plate and threded rod, threaded rod through the bottom plate....fill the cylinder with ice and rock salt....just like making ice cream.....put on top plate and apply apply pressure.....when you think it's as cold as its going to get ,give it crank down on the nut and a tap or two.......you can put the new ones in the deep freeze,get them out one at a time and install with oak 2x4 and hammer or air hammer..
