I prefer chains and boomers over straps and ratchets. Whatever you use, you want to make sure it is pretty dang strong in case you should happen to be involved in an accident. Chains can be kind of rough on a good paint job, but I put a towel folded up inbetween chain and tractor if I need to be careful with paint. If you use boomers, be sure you secure the handle so it don't jiggle loose and loosen chain.
