If your using a ball hitch, they normally require about 200 pounds of weight on the hitch to trailer properly. Check your hitch to see if they reflect a suggested tongue weight. For now we'll say it's 200 pounds. Now find a 200 pound friend to stand on the hitch while you measure from a point on the hitch to the ground. This measurement should be about what you want when the trailer is hooked up and loaded with the tractor. There are a lot of factors that come in to play here. Tongue length, number of axles, hitch class, etc. The one thing you DON'T want is for the trailer hitch to be higher than it was, after you load the tractor onto the trailer. Bottom line though, if the trailer is steering you when you're going down the road, stop and re-adjust the weight. Things can go bad quickly in that situation. Fred KS
