Somewhat OT...horsepower help???

I am looking at rebuilding a car engine for possible farm uses (it's a Ford 4-banger I may put in a salvage truck or any mechanically driven equipment around the farm, here) and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a conversion from vehicle horsepower to tractor horsepower. I found that a 1.6L (at least that's what I believe it is, anyway) has 100-110 horsepower in cars, but there is no way you can convice me that that kind of horsepower shows on a farm (I can't build a tractor and put that engine in it and expect it to run like my 856 for craps sakes!!!). Anyone able to help me? I looked for an engine discussion board, but all we have is stationary engines (which this is NOT) and I feel more comfortable talking to you guys. Thanks for the posts.
