That bucket and soak basket is a great idea, that stuff will take the chrome off a Buick grill. You can get this stuff at any auto store. As mentioned earlier, and I ran across a couple of times, the journal pin on the float sometimes gets so loose, that one side of it falls off, and it is impossible to shut off the flow of gas.. check that first. Just tighten it up by squeezing together the yoke that holds the pin. I have taken these apart where someone had lost the pin and shoved a nail in there.., and of course the diameter was too small to do any good.
