Located the problem with the A(finally!) Pulled tranny cover, inspected all gears and located a small piece of metal lodged between the teeth of the reverse gear! Swept the tranny cavity with magnets and pulled up a few more pieces of metal as well. They appear to be forging slag as there are no damaged teeth at all in the tranny. Starting the tractor allowed this oil to sweep up the metal from the bottom of the tranny and bring it into the gear teeth. Enough said!
