I put a factory waterpump kit in my C years ago. As I remember, it also included a different fan, with skinnier blades, to clear the waterpump pulley. There was also a different head gasket, which had smaller holes in the water passages to restrict the flow. I don't remember about the thermostat housing. There was one included, because the thermostat won't fit in the regular water outlet, but I can't remember about the hose sizes. Later on the radiator gave up and I replaced it with a Super C radiator and grill, so the evidence is long gone. I originally did this to cure a persistant overheating problem. It did cure it but I have no idea what caused it in the first place. Probably in the course of installing the pump kit, I corrected something else without realizing it. As others have said, many A's B's and C's have run forever without a pump.
