In the sub zero weather that has snapped across the north American continent , I am curious what folks do if anything with their diesel fuel. My neighbour trucks into northern Ontario and when he gets up there and its 30 below he puts some gasoline in the diesel fuel so it won't solidify or gel at those temperatures. I believe he said around 10%. A tractor mechanic friend(orange Tractors) told me to put a liter of Automatic transmission fluid in my diesel, he says the ATF removes moisture from the diesel fuel and it lubes the pumps. I have often dumped a quart of oil into the diesel fuel for the same reason. Many trucking companies filter their used motor oil and add it to their diesel fuel to get extra mileage and power. In the last few years I have been buying diesel conditioner which is supposed to lube the system and clean injectors and remove moisture..3 in 1 conditioner. I have been using this product in a diesel tractor I bought that hadn't run in 8 years and I am convinced it is doing a good job cleaning injectors..the tractor is starting easier and running better. I can't imagine that oil or ATF would do anything but good..I'd welcome your ideas about diesel fuel in the winter. In my part of Ontario the diesel fuel is the winter version but I must admit that I am not certain how it is different from summer diesel. It does have a different distillation. Like to hear from you...Mike in Exeter Ontario

The garden was already sprouting when we hooked up the mid-mount shovel cultivators to the Pony. The seed bed was soft enough that the rear end would spin and slowly work its way to the downhill side of the gardens slight incline. From this, we learned our lesson sinc
