I guess I could have knocked some rust loose. But I plowed with it last fall in warmer weather and it plowed fine, course, I was on hard ground, instead of rough loose ground. Besides possible rust, I know loose sandy ground eats up horsepower against hard compacted ground. Finally I might have had too lean a mixture in the carb for the job. I had what I plowed with, but maybe I should have allowed for the loose sandy soil and opened her up a little. FINALLY, somone suggested wearing mittens. I havnt seen mittens for sail down here for over 40 yrs. Used to hate to shuck corn with mittens as a kid, but they were o for anything else.
