M transmission

I've changed the seals on the M this past weekend and I had a harder time with the brake shaft seals than I did with the bull pinnion shaft ones. They eventually gave up! Those are tuff little things! Anyways I left the main and counter shaft ones last. When I did the main seal I would have thought you could unbolt the shafts slide the clutch shaft forward which I cleaned in case of dust pinching and not allowing it to slide farther, then proceede on the main end. But I had to split the torque tube from the the rear frame a 1/2" to get the flange piece off the main shaft. You would think you could do that without splitting. It wasn't hard just a bit of a hassle. Alot of blood, sweat and tears went into it! Scraped and gouched hands to prove!
