It's a Farmall 806 Diesel. The "F" is for Farmall. IH called their Row-Crop tractors Farmall's and called their Standard (Wheatland, Utility, or Industrial) tractors International's. If it was an 806 Wheatland, it would have an "I" instead of the "F" on the model number plate. The "D" is for Diesel, of course. The "S" is a serial number suffix meaning that the tractor is equipped with a Torque Amplifier. The TA is IH's version of a powershift transmission attachment. It gives you two speeds in each gear and it can be shifted on the go without clutching. It is controled by the lever on the left side of the steering tower. When the lever is ahead, the tractor is in direct drive. Pulling the lever toward yourself engages the TA, slowing the tractor down and giving it more pulling power. The "Y" means the tractor is equipped with a 12 gallon per minute hydraulic pump. Most IH tractors have this pump.
