You are right that you have to use the reversible lid. But my contention that a 400-660 lid will work is also correct because it is a reversible lid minus a little machine work. You made me trudge through 2 feet of snow in 5 degree weather to check a loose 560 lid that is in one of my sheds. All the bosses, landings, and shifter holes are cast in the underside of this lid so that it can work in either direction. Seven small areas have to be faced and six holes tapped. The detent spring pockets would also need drilling. The fork yokes would need to be cut off from the flat bar and turned 180 degrees. Speed cannot exceed 12 mph because of the gear ratio in the drop boxes. Of course, one could play around with the govenor if he was inclined.
