I always like when someone posts the solution to their problem- in many instances I have the same problem a week later. My guess is that the contaminant was water- from condensation. Perhaps the pump- I assume the 140 has a gear pump- side plates permitted the water to pass on the sides of the gears. The HyTran is more viscous than is water and would "seal" on the sides better. The water would also freeze and prevent the system from working.
