Ok I am on my second farmall H project. I got my grand fathers restored. Now I am on to my dads 1944 H that the engine is froze solid. I found a guy that lives 2 hours from me that parts out tractors. he is parting out a H on saterday that he claims rolls over smoothly. I can get the engine for a good price. I asked him to check compression on it. What would be a good compression number? 90 or higher? I was thinking good compression and gas should run? for the price of the engine if I get it running I can't go wrong right? I would like to rebuild the one I have but all the money I spent on the other one no way. I would just like to have a running tractor and check out the tranny. What do you guys think? the engine is $150.00 worth it or bad idea? Thanks Chad
