Holstien bulls are some of the most dangerous they will turn overnight. 70 years ago my grandfather and uncle were bird hunting an decided to check the young cattle that were being run with the bull way out back. The bull tore into my uncle and grandpa piked up the 12 gauge that was knocked out of my uncles hands and let the bull have it. It was only no.6 bird shot but it got the bull off my uncle. The bull went to the sale the next day with a load pellets in his chest. The gun had gotten snow in the barrel when it was knocked out of his hands and the the shot split the end of the barrel about 2" back on one barrel. Made for a real educational story when we were kids.
