Thanks for the information. Maybe I will try an IH Dealer for a photo copy of the 300/340 fast hitch in their parts book. I'm not real sure which hitch to go with though (the original 300 hitch or with the newer 350 and up hitch) since some say that the single cylinder hitch is better and some say that the 300's double cylinder hitch is better. I always had tractor's with the solid draw bar and even though I have found a 340 fast hitch, I have never used a tractor with a fast hitch and I do want to use the best operating fast hitch on my Farmall 300. I will post this question back at the front of this forum.
