Won't help or hurt anything but your ears. Turbo creates all back presure engine needs. I never removed mufler on my 1066 so can't tell you of change in noise level. I did put a straight pipe on a 6 cylinder turbo Deere about same size. With pipe as long as mufler was, I could not see much difference in noise level.
