IH434---144c.i. or 154 c.i.?

Engine rebuild kits for this tractor at "commerce market.com" list two different engines for this tractor,144 and 154 c.i..It seems to be genuine because of diffent part numbers and prices,although the piston diameter is the same at 3.375".Safe to say that the larger engine has a longer stroke.How can I tell which engine I have?When/why was this changed?
