That is a good idea for flushing in extreme situations but I would put a few quarts of oil in with the fuel to give it some lubrication. The diesel nowadays is so dry it will make dust. I've cleaned sludged motors before by substituting diesel for oil and only adding six ounces of Power Up oil additive and it worked great. But if your hydraulic pump locks up don't give your lawyer my email address!
