Elkhorn you will not have to split the tractor. The liftall belly pump assembly can be removed. More than likely the gasket between the pump assembly and the reservoir case is leaking along with the countershaft drive seal. With the liftall pump out, there is enough room to replace the main driveshaft seal and countershaft seal. They get to leaking with age. You will also want to order new gaskets for the two retainer assemblies that those 2 seals are in. I have done several Hs but have not tackled my 2 Ms. Those two are on my 2003 list of things to do.
