A 2000 psi pressure gauge plumbed to whatever connector you have is a simple tool you can always use. I made up one with a short hose I can plug into the other connector with a hydraulic ball valve in between. (assuming you have two way hydraulics and you have your control valves set for two way)If you aren't able to bleed pressure off to tank you could have trouble releasing the gauge. There should also be a gauge port on the relief block you could plumb into. Rebuilding your pump is really pretty easy with a kit for that purpose.
