Paint Question

I am restoring a '53 Cub. It's primed and ready to paint but I have no access to a booth nor have I ever painted a vehicle before.

The engine came back from the machine shop looking great with nice wet-looking coat of Farmall Red and a half-can of Seymour Farm Implement heavy duty enamel.

I like the look so much, I'm tempted to buy more Seymour paint and finish the job with a spray can. Any one ever used this or something similar for the complete job? The hood and fenders were sandblasted so they are smooth. Why should I get a compressor and paint gun when I can get this from a can?
