Moonlite this is a common thing the distribitor drive shaft will only fit in 2 positions correct or 180 degrees out. Many of the oldtimers would just put distribitor in and if was 180 degrees out of time would switch positions with 1-4 and 3-2 wires. Runs just as good that way. My dad ran several Hs and Ms and it was 50/50 change wires would be reversed.
